NAACLS will conduct a hybrid workshop titled, “Starting Off Strong: Using Historical Data for an Easier Review Process,” on Monday, March 14, 2022, from 7:00am-12:00pm MT. The workshop will be held at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel, and you may choose to attend in-person or virtually.

Upon completion of this workshop, the participants should be able to:

1. Examine the overall accreditation/approval process leading up to potential citation
2. Relate the use of the NAACLS Standards and Compliance Guide to the process
3. Identify the most commonly recognized concerns on the Self-Study Reviews and Site Visit Reports and most commonly cited standards
4. Identify ways to avoid citations by utilizing the Standards Compliance Guide and other NAACLS resources

ASCLS P.A.C.E. and ASCP approve NAACLS as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences. This workshop is an intermediate level program. The following contact hours will be awarded at the workshop: ASCLS = 4; ASCP = 4.

The workshop will be presented by:

Candice Grayson, MS, MA, MT(ASCP), is a MLT Educator on RCAP. She is a Program Director of the MLT and HT Programs at Community College of Baltimore County in Baltimore, MD.

Rita Miller, EdD, MLS(ASCP), is a Clinical Assistant Educator on PARC. She is the Program Director of the MLT Program at Minnesota West Community & Technical College in Luverne, MN.
