NAACLS will conduct its annual fall workshop on Thursday, November 2, 2023, in Chicago, Illinois (O’Hare Area). This will be a hybrid workshop. The registration deadline is October 26^th!

The workshop, titled, “Putting Your Best Foot Forward: Maximizing Success in the NAACLS Accreditation Process,” will be held from 7:30am-4:00pm and will be presented by Jennifer Knight, MHS, MLS(ASCP)^CM, MLS Educator on the Review Committee for Accredited Programs (RCAP) and Candice Grayson, MS, MA, MLS(ASCP), MLT Educator on the Programs Accreditation Review Committee (PARC).

This presentation will focus on the overall accreditation process from start to finish, for both initial and continuing accreditation, and will provide practical advice for creating the Self-Study Report and hosting the site visit. Presenters will examine individual Standards, provide recommendations on how to avoid common mistakes and citations, and highlight awards and follow-up reports, such as the Year Five interim report.

After attending the workshop, participants should be able to:

1. Summarize the overall accreditation process from preparation of the Self-Study through the Site Visit and beyond.
2. Emphasize the NAACLS resources available to decrease stress while working towards achieving accreditation.
3. Examine common concerns associated with individual Standards, including how to avoid citations.
4. Implement plans that will maximize success throughout the accreditation process.
