The November 2017 workshop reference materials instructions have been emailed to registrants

NAACLS has emailed instructions on downloading workshop materials to registrants of the NAACLS Workshop titled, “Demystifying NAACLS’ Accreditation/Approval Processes,” being held on November 3, 2017 in Chicago. NAACLS will offer its annual workshop in concurrence with CLEC 2018 in Houston, Texas

NAACLS will conduct a new workshop titled, “Top Pitfalls When Completing a NAACLS Self-Study,” on February 22, 2018, from 7:00am-12:15pm in Houston, TX (in concurrence with the ASCLS Clinical Laboratory Educators’ Conference (CLEC)). The workshop will include a continental breakfast and working lunch.

The workshop will be presented by:

Candace Hill, MAEd, MT(ASCP), is the Program Director of the MLT Program at Jefferson State Community College in Birmingham, AL. She serves as an MLT Educator of the NAACLS Review Committee for Accredited Programs (RCAP).

Mary Ellen Tancred, PhD, MBA, MT(ASCP)SH, is the Program Coordinator of the MLT Program at Columbus State Community College in Columbus, OH. She is a Phlebotomy Educator on the NAACLS Programs Approval Review Committee (PARC).

Upon completion of the workshop, and with the opportunity to discuss questions, the participant should be able to:

1. Recognize required elements to be included in the Self-Study for each Standard to demonstrate compliance.
2. Identify the most common pitfalls for compliance with Standards in the Self-Study.
3. Assess Self-Study examples to determine compliance with the Standard, and propose suggestions for compliance.

The fee for the workshop is $325/person if you register by 1/10/18. The fee is $375/person if you register between 1/11/18 to 2/9/18).
